As part of a series of major investments, leading provider of powered access hire Nationwide Platforms has rejuvenated its fleet further by purchasing over 400 Dingli machines.

The order was perfectly timed for Nationwide Platforms' involvement in the Sky Borehamwood project which sees the upgrade of Sky’s Hertfordshire studios with a recently completed building.

Nationwide Platforms has supplied Sky with 16 of Dingli’s 2212DC battery powered scissor lifts which boasts a working height of 22m.

Dingli Machinery is China’s leading aerial work platform (AWP) specialist and now ranked third in the world with a fast growing reputation for high quality, reliable and innovative products.

With confidence in Dingli’s quality, Nationwide Platforms has invested in six other models to boost its fleet around the country, making a total of 418 new units. These machines include an assortment of scissor lifts with a range varying from 7.8m to 22m making them suitable for a variety of uses. They also benefit from direct electric drive AC motors for significantly greater productivity from single battery charge.

Nationwide Platforms' fleet also boasts three new types of mast lift from Dingli, including the AMWP7-8100L. This is a fully electric machine, with no hydraulic oil which provides several advantages including reduced maintenance, no risk of hydraulic leaks and significantly increased productivity from a single charge.
Opting for electric machines is part of the company’s push to operate more sustainably while catering to its customers assorted needs.

Sam O’Brien, Strategic Projects Manager for Nationwide Platforms said, “We were delighted to be involved in such a large scale project, and more importantly proud to meet the client’s requirements beyond the scope of our usual fleet.

“We’re very pleased to continue investing in our expansive fleet catering to our customers’ ever-growing needs with more efficient and greener machinery.”
