We’ve recently expanded our fleet to include the innovative Leonardo HD and Solo-Gyps attachment solution that can streamline and accelerate overhead installation processes.
Following this expansion, we caught up with our Head of Sales, Strategic & National Accounts Matt Parfitt who talked us through the innovative solution, how it can benefit our customers and where it would be best applied.
1. What would you say makes the Leonardo HD 4.9m low level platform such a great addition to our fleet, and which sectors would it best suit?
“The Leonardo HD for me is a great addition to the Nationwide Platforms fleet as it offers our client base in the Mechanical & Electrical and Facilities Management sectors a very easy to use and robust low level product that gets the job done. The customer feedback so far has been amazing and so is already a proven success! Furthermore, Leonardo HD offers versatility to our customer base in that its usable indoors and outdoors, it offers a really good extended platform size, as well as the below option to add sector specific attachments.”
2. Where would the Solo-Gyps attachment be most useful and what benefits does it provide?
“The Solo-Gyps drywall attachment is specifically for the Interior sector who install large ceiling plasterboard panels. As a result for those applications (excluding ceiling tiles), the Solo-Gyps offers a method to install more ceiling panels per day in the region of double that of a traditional install process (larger scissor with 2 people in the basket) and with 1 person instead of 2. As well as allowing faster and safer ceiling panel installs, Solo-Gyps allows fantastic labour savings in excess of £150 per day (estimated average cost per day per person).”
Matt also noted how using the full solution of both the Leonardo HD and the Solo-Gyps attachment can be beneficial to interior fit-out businesses during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
“From a COVID point of view this is also a win for the Leonardo HD & Solo-Gyps over the traditional means because it eliminates the need for 2 people to work in a platform in close proximity to each other.”
