Nationwide
Machines Take Part In Safety Experience Day. These Nationwide
powered access units helped to put employees of GPU Power
UK through their paces at a safety experience day organised
by the electricity supply company.
Nationwide
provided three Z45/22 boom lifts and an XRT33 scissor lift,
together with 26m and 35m truck-mounted Skylift units.
Operational staff from the PowerProjects engineering business
stream of GPU Power UK (formerly Midlands Electricity) were
tested on knowledge and skills whilst complying with conditions
for working in a live compound. The safety experience day
also included sessions on safety behaviour and permit for
work procedures.
Nationwide,
who are GPU Powerıs preferred supplier of powered access
machines, supplied the Skylift units to demonstrate their
potential for assisting in work on overhead lines.
All GPU Power staff who work on sites have been trained
by Nationwide to standards set by the International Powered
Access Federation.
