QUALITY POLICY

Lavendon Access Services along with all other Group companies will ensure that all major elements of its operation are performed using processes defined in and controlled by it’s Quality Management System.

This will be achieved by implementing the following key principles:

The Group will consistently deliver service that matches or exceeds stated customer expectations from no matter where in our network that service is provided.

The mechanism for delivery of this policy and related objectives is a quality system based upon the framework provided by ISO 9001:2000

Through a programme of training, management and audit, we will ensure that quality systems’ principles and details are both understood and consistently followed.

The guiding principle will be to achieve absolute consistency of business process and quality system implementation across our depot network.

It is the responsibility of every company employee or agent to ensure that they are familiar with the workings of the quality process as defined in the company’s quality manual.

It is the job of every line manager to ensure that employees are encouraged to achieve that familiarity.

We must all do our utmost to ensure that our defined processes are followed and work with initiative, pride and teamwork in using them to deliver excellent service to our customers.

We will keep our business processes under constant review, to ensure we maintain a fully current understanding of what best practice is.

At Nationwide Platforms we take Quality very seriously to ensure both our customers and our employees are provided with the consistently high quality services.

The way we conduct our business is defined in our Operating Standard Procedures (OSP) Manual.

The OSP manual details the systems and processes have been developed over several years with the full consultation of Senior Management, the Quality Health and Safety Team and all employees. In doing so, we have ensured that Nationwide Platforms has: -

  • Agreement and participation of everyone in the company

These systems and practices are regularly audited and fully accredited by nationally accreditation schemes including: -

  • UKAS accredited ISO 9001: 2000 Quality Management System

  • Achilles UVDB Verify
  • Achilles Link-Up
  • Safe Contractor
  • CHAS

We also welcome customers who, by prior appointment, wish to audit any of our locations and practices as part of their Safety and Quality assurance procedures.

As part of our endeavour to continually improve the quality of service provided; Nationwide Platforms employees are proud to have adopted a set of "Shared Values", which have become part of our work ethic and are embedded into every day work activities for all employees. They are: -

Technical Excellence

As a member of the Lavendon Group Nationwide Platforms is fully involved in improving standards through the Technical Excellence project. This sets a new 'best practice' standard for our branches in a number of key areas, including engineering and equipment maintenance, environmental management, procurement, housekeeping and Health & Safety.

We know that achieving Technical Excellence is having a marked impact on the business and is a key factor in helping us achieve our aim of having the most reliable fleet in the UK. We have secured the expertise of JLG Industries, the world's leading manufacturer of access equipment, who will be delivering a series of seminars, covering manufacturing standards and what's involved in achieving and maintaining them to the highest level.

Our aim is to achieve the same high standard across the country.

"TechX is a great example of what we can accomplish when working together, and with positive results rolling in. It is a standard I look forward to watching every branch in the Group achieve."

Lavendon Group Chief Executive, Kevin Appleton

Technical Excellence status is a standard that a branch must achieve following an audit by the Lavendon Access Services TechX Team. The accreditation is certainly not automatic, and to gain accreditation your branch must achieve a pass rate of 95%. Once successfully acquired, you must make sure that your status is maintained, as the team will be carrying out an annual review to see the continuation of your industry leading standards.

The TechX Team has adopted the 5S principles commonly used in the automotive industry to help you gain and keep your accreditation.
