Hire Desk/Customer Services

The main aim for Hire Desk is to ensure that our customers receive excellent service and at the end of the conversation are happy with the outcome. It is a very rewarding role in many ways, particulary because of the widespread interaction between customers and colleagues throughout the business.

Main Duties:

  • Working within the hire fleet using the automated system in accordance with company procedures and in conjunction with other depots and departments.
  • Following procedures as specified in the relevant Quality Management Procedures Manuals.
  • Keeping your product knowledge up to date in order to ensure the customer receives the right machine for the job.
  • Organising site survey requests and any general enquiries on machinery or other services offered by the company.
  • Developing new customers through outbound calls.
  • Ensuring customers service and customers expectations are exceeded for both internal and external customers.
  • Dealing with all customer queries quickly, efficiently and cost effectively.

Donna is the Transport Co-ordinator for our Oldbury depot, and has been with the company since 2008. Donna started in Hire Desk control, before being given the opportunity for progression.
