Human Resources:

To support Lavendon Group in the achievement of business objectives by ensuring Human Resources and Recruitment Support processes are provided in a timely and efficient manner.

The Human Resources department also commits to quality and confidentiality requirements, ensuring our status as an employer of choice.

Main Duties:

  • Processing changes to terms and conditions in the HR System and other data files.
  • Producing, collating and issuing necessary offer letters, terms and conditions, welcome packs, pensions information and flexible benefits to new employees.
  • Managing sick notes and return to work processes following absences.
  • Ensuring P-Files are up to date and accurate with Asylum & Immigration information, references and pension beneficiary details.
  • Daily co-ordination of Payroll Action Notices and Resource Requisitions, logging on tracker and processing administration data accordingly.
  • Providing guidance and advice to line managers.
  • Providing a point of contact within the business for employee relations issues and to support line management in the execution of dispute resolution activities.
  • Developing and managing annual plans for HR business support areas.
  • To assist in the implementation of succession and development planning across the organisation, ensuring accurate records and development plans are maintained.

  • HR Administrator.
  • HR Advisor.
  • HR Officer

Payroll:

Payroll aims to effectively co-ordinate and provide an accurate and timely payroll, expenses and benefits function. The team also help the company achieve business objectives through the day-to-day transactional payroll and benefits service.

Main Duties:

  • Co-ordinating and producing monthly and weekly payrolls.
  • Co-ordinating starter & leaver processes including P45s and overtime payments.
  • Maintaining benefits administration and producing P11Ds.
  • Online submissions to the Inland Revenue.
  • End of year reporting to include P35/P14/P60s.
  • Ensuring that all BACS transmissions are appropriately authorised
  • Maintaining databases for all company schemes, Child Care Vouchers, Share Incentive Plan, Pensions and creating working relationships with the providers.

Roles include:

  • Payroll officer.
  • Payroll Supervisor.

Lenny is a Workshop Service Manager at our Glasgow Depot. He has been with the company for nearly 11 years. He started as an engineer before his promotion in 2009 to manager.

Cat is the manager of our Kent Depot and has been with the company since 2009. She says she enjoys the variety the company offers and credits her brilliant team and fantastic training in helping her to develop further in her career.

Donna is the Transport Co-ordinator for our Oldbury depot, and has been with the company since 2008. Donna started in Hire Desk control, before being given the opportunity for progression.
