Nationwide Platforms have helped Lutterworth Town Council decorate the streets with Union Flag bunting ahead of a party to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
This bank holiday weekend will see the market town host a street party in the scenic area around its Memorial Gardens, with local residents invited to join in with the activities.
With the event just around the corner, Nationwide Platforms, whose Head Office is based in the Leicestershire town, provided a 26 metre truck mounted platform and machine operator to help volunteers begin preparations
That enabled the new Lutterworth Town Mayor Robert Coleman and his team to safely and effectively install the bunting between trees and above the road.
To help ensure the correct machine was provided, Nationwide Platforms worked with the council to survey the site and discuss the plans, ensuring that the business provided an appropriate piece of equipment from its industry leading fleet of more than 11,300 platforms.
Mr Coleman said: “We’re very pleased to have been supported by Nationwide Platforms in making this happen. The bunting helps give added atmosphere to the area and will help us create a real sense of occasion for our community street party.”
Joe Keely, Corporate Responsibilty Manager, Nationwide Platforms, said: “As a business we’re proud to support our neighbours and help make a positive impression on the communities around us. With our Head Office located in Lutterworth it was very appropriate for us to give a helping hand with an event that so many local people can enjoy.”
