Working at height experts Nationwide Platforms have given their support to achievement in construction by backing a high profile Construction News Award.

The powered access leaders are sponsoring the “Project Over £50m” category which will recognise the outstanding successes of the country’s largest projects.

Last year saw contractor Interlink win the category for the M74 Completion Project which was one of Scotland’s largest infrastructure schemes and involved the construction of eight kilometres of motorway, including three bridges.

This year’s awards will take place on July 10 in London and will recognise innovation, ability, creativity, vision and courage across a number of construction related categories.

Nationwide Platforms’ Executive Director – Sales and Marketing, Richard Miller, said: “The services and products we provide are often closely linked to the work that takes place on building projects across the UK.  As a business we want to help recognise and celebrate the excellence that is achieved in the construction industry, even in an uncertain economic climate.

“Like us, the Construction News Awards strive to promote safe and efficient working, product innovation and industry training.”
