Nationwide Skylift provide the power for Babcocks Network

Babcock Networks required a specialist access solution recently when they needed to erect a large National Grid pylon at Marchwood, near Southampton.
The job took place in October, and the installers needed to get the power lines from the front to the sides, without climbing the pylon.
Nationwide Access were able to provide a 62m Bronto truck mounted platform for hire which was ideal for the job. The machine arrived complete with a Skylift operator and was set up quickly, ready to start work within minutes of arriving on site. The machine has a working height of 62m and an outreach of 30m which was required to reach round from the front of the pylon to the side.
